The Director Counter Intelligence is responsible for the overall management and implementation of all Counter Intelligence liaisons/responsibilities/special projects/etc. that is in the best interest of National Security by ensuring to deliver efficiently and effectively security intelligence on behalf of NIO to the PNG Government and other parties on the ‘need to know’ basis.

The Director Information and Communication Technology will oversee all information communication technology functions of the Organisation and ensure that the duties are carried out effectively and efficiently. 

Responsible for the overall management and implementation of all Foreign and International Liaisons responsibilities/special projects/etc that is in the best interest of National Security by ensuring to deliver efficiently and effectively security intelligence on behalf of NIO to the PNG Government and other parties on the ‘need to know’ basis.

The roles of the Director Finance & Administration is to improve the financial management within the National Intelligence Organisation by ensuring compliance with the existing financial framework, incuding finance instructions and procedures and at the same time is accountable for administrative related areas which include:

• Provision of effective and efficient finance, accounting and administratice functions;
• Effective management of inventory of fixed assets for the National Intelligence Organisation.
• Effective and efficient management of the Organisation’s motor vehicle fleet;
• Effective and efficient management of the facilities function of NIO, and;
• Effective and efficient management of the procurement function of NIO.

The Director Human Resource leads the Human Resources Management Division in ensuring that the branch is focus on achieving the NIO’s objectives.

This position is responsible for the overall management and implementation of all Domestic and Regional liaisons/responsibilities/special projects/etc. that is in the best interest of National Security by ensuring to deliver efficiently and effectively security intelligence on behalf of NIO to the PNG Government and other parties on the ‘need to know’ basis.

The Travel Intelligence Operations Officer will provide support to the Cordinator Travel Intelligence Officer to plan and coordinate the implementation of Travel Intelligence operational fuctions and programs for the Airport by effectively collecting, collating, making assessments and dissemination of intelligence information and data, in-depth analysis and assessment of intelligence data and monitor the travel movements of espionage, terrorist, subversives and other undesirable targets of interest who pose a treat to national security. 

The Departmental Security Liaison Officer provides support and assistance to the Coordinator Protective Security Officer for the implementation of NIO’s corporate strategies for departmental security liaison on behalf of the division.

The Assistant Travel Intelligence Operations Officer is responsible to provide assistance to the Travel Intelligence Officer (Airport) to plan and conduct all travel intelligence airport collection, operations as directed by the Travel Intelligence Officer (Airport). 

The job is responsible to coordinate all protective security functions and programs by effectively collecting, collating, making assestments and dissemination of intelligence information and data and monitor the travel movements of espionage, terrorist, subversives and other undesirable targets of interest who pose a threat to national security. 

The Assistant Regional Operations Officer is responsible to provide assistance to the Regional operations Officer (Vanimo) for the effective collection of intelligence information and analysis to assist NIO on the dilebaration on security policies. Also the position is responsibe to ensure efficiency in provision of protective security in the Sandaun Province.

This position overseas the overall management and implementation of all Foreign and International Liaisons responsibilities/special projects/etc that is in the best interest of National Security by ensuring to deliver efficiently and effectively security intelligence on behalf of NIO to the PNG Government and other parties on the ‘need to know’ basis.

This position is responsible to Coordinate all Covert and Overt Travel Intelligence operational functions and programs by effectively collecting, collating, making assessments and dissemination of intelligence information and data, in – depth analyses and assessment of social, economic and political issues and situations that are of national security interests.

Provide assistance to the Operations Officers 1&2 to plan and conduct all intelligence collection, operations as directed by the Senior Operations Officer.

Responsible for the provision of confidential executive secretarial and administrative support services to the Office of the Deputy Director General.

The Bank Reconciliation Officer is responsible to provide support to the Accountant in ensuring that all cash resources, such as grants, bank transfers and on all other matters relating to cash resources are properly executed.

The Staff Clerk will assist in the conduct and coordination of all personnel activities such as salaries, allowances, leaves, contract administration and maintenance of the Concept Payroll System in the Department of Treasury.

The Filing Clerk will be responsible for the central file registry and coordinate movement of documents and fies from the central file storage room.
