It is with great honour for me as the Director General of the PNG NIO together with my Intelligence Officers to be entrusted with the responsibility to deliver local and foreign intelligence to the PNG Government for better decision making in order to protect the sovereign state of PNG and promote PNG’s National interests.

I acknowledge the efforts of my predecessors in the past years who had tirelessly committed their time and effort in ensuring PNG NIO achieve its core functions and objectives.

It is of utmost importance to enlighten the citizens of the sovereign state of PNG that the PNG National Intelligence organisation has and will continue to provide informative and reliable information to the National Government to enhance the Government’s ability to make informed and effective decisions concerning PNG’s national security. During my tenure as the Director General for the PNG’s National Intelligence Organisation, I intend to implement stringent yet robust measures on information collection, processing and provisions of sound decisive recommendations to the National Government on vital issues affecting the country both locally and internationally.

The Director General’s Intent is documented to strategically align PNG NIO’s corporate objectives to be achieved within a 4-year term. The Intent encompasses the principles of broader government policies such as the Vision 2050, MTDP and also the National Security Policy 2024 – 2029.

Staff commitment is vital in achieving the PNG NIO’s core functions and vision. Together we can create an effective and proactive information gathering and dissemination model for better decision making and for a secured PNG.
